Evaluate Your Week

Sunday has arrived. This day is known to be lazy and boring, filled with anxiety about the upcoming week. Are you hungover from last nights parties?

How about taking a new perspective on this day? Instead of seeing it as an useless day, why not see it as the perfect day to charge our batteries, recover from the past week, and plan for the upcoming week.

I’ll start. These were my goals for this week. How did it go?

  • Make some personal phone calls – check!
  • Laundry – check!
  • Dinner party on Friday – No, I was still sick
  • Get healthy (I still have a cold) – check!
  • Work on the blog – check!
  • BAKE. I recently got this urge to bake something. – check!

5 out of 6. I’m happy with that. Now the thing is, my feeling today is that this past week has been useless. It basically a waste of time because of my cold and I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything. However, by going through this checklist, I actually feel way better! It might not look like much but at least I accomplished what I set out to do, and a little more.

This is exactly the reason why I believe in doing this “homework”: Because it helps. It helps to keep me focused and motivated and it helps me feel better at the end of the day. Start with some easy goals that you know you can achieve and next time move it up a notch. It’s a process.

Now it’s your turn.
